There she tries to survive every day with oxygen masks and the fact that she is the only human (alien) there and is loathed by the whole Metkayina clan except Tsireya who is slowly trying to find a way to accept her. She is bullied for her weird looks (because she IS a human and not a Na’vi so she looks alien to them) by the Metkayina boys her age, mainly Ao’nung and his little gang. She spends her nights with the Sully’s as her ‘foster family’ while she is there. Over the time, and I mean loooong time, Ao’nung and her develop some chemistry (but that’s like a bunch of chapters to go) and even more time and angst after that, they fall in love.
